How to stop smoking? What is the easy way for that?
I am for about two years having the smoking habit and my age is 20 and i want to stop smoking i already tried lots of times to stop smoking but i cant do this. What is the best way to stop smoking
hi dear
follow these guidelines to quit smoking habit
- Ask yourself why you want to stop smoking.
- Write your answers on a piece of paper and carry it with you.
- Use it to remind yourself of why you want to stop, whenever you feel like smoking.
- Fill out a "stop smoking contract" and have a family member or friend sign it. Throw away all your cigarettes, lighters and ashtrays.
- Change your schedule to avoid circumstances in which you usually smoke. Walk around the block or chew gum when you would normally be smoking.
- Put up "no smoking" signs in your house and work area, and even in your car.
- Prepare yourself to feel the urge to start smoking again. The American Cancer Society suggests four ways to deal with the urge to smoke: delaying, deep breathing, drinking water and doing something else.
- Carry around "mouth toys" such as candy, gum, straws and carrot sticks.
- List the good things that have happened since you stopped, and keep the list with you wherever you go as an inspiration.
- Reward yourself for quitting; you could take the money you might have spent on cigarettes and buy yourself something nice.
Good Luck

Don`t put the cigarette in your mouth is the only way to do it..It can work because 8 years ago it worked for me..Use your willpower, you know you have it because we all do..Be strong, stay away from stinking, smelly smokers whose breath smells as bad as their clothes and hair. If you want this bad enough, you`ll do it….Good luck….long healthy life awaits you.Go for it…NOW..no more excuses…

God forbids. Are you waiting for lung cancer to get rid you of your smoking habit. Think of the consequences. Think about your family and near and dear ones. Be strong. Through away your cigarette pack. There is nothing impossible.

Will power, I currently smoke though LOL… I have found the only way I can quit is just to have enough will not to smoke anymore. After all you have to want to quit to actually do so. If you find the cravings get bad when others smoke or you see it on TV, try distracting yourself and doing something that will keep your mind occupied. I think nicotine addiction is totally mental. So just keep yourself distracted. I find drinking does not help. Maybe play games, go to the gym, have a jog, do some work (maybe on your car if you drive), go for a drive. Don’t forget, once you stop just don’t start again (I did). It will just bring back the old addictions…

Personal Experience
Try the patches. If you smoking a pack a day you are spending (where I live) $5 per pack so thats $35 dollars. Patches cost $25-$30 (depending on brand) so you can save $5-$10 and have a nice high chance of quiting. Plus you dont smell, have smokers cough, and feel as poopie. But I am sure there are some side effects. Check it out.
